3 Spirulina Smoothie That Gives You Superpowers

So you’ve gotten to hear about the awesome benefits of spirulina and you head off straight to purchase some spirulina powder for yourself, only to get struck by the bizarre truth that this green algae is not the yummiest thing you’ve ever tasted. To be sincere it’s got one of the worst taste.

So, how then do you get to experience the benefits of spirulina powder if it has these awful taste?

Let's talk about my favorite way of achieving the benefits of Spirulina smoothie. 
I can’t seem to think of any other better way to trick my taste-buds into loving this cyanobacteria than a delicious spirulina smoothie recipes.

The interesting part of spirulina smoothie is, it helps you gain the nutrition your body deserves, you also get to benefit from other superfood that aids your digestive system, chlorophyll, iron, vitamin C, beta-carotene and more, which help maintain good hormone balance as well as detoxify the body.

The Ultimate Spirulina Smoothie

Ingredients

1 lemon (peeled)

1 orange (peeled)

½ banana (peeled)

1-1/2 Tbsp. of spirulina

1 Tbsp. chlorella 

1 Tbsp. chia seeds

1pinch of cinnamon

1 – 2 cups of filtered water

Directions 

Garnish with your favorite topping and blend everything together. You can add 2 cubes of ice if desired chilled.
Enjoy!

Creamy Strawberry Spirulina Shake

Low in sugar and buzzing with lots of healthy nutrition the strawberry spirulina shake happens to be my next favorite.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. heavy cream

¼ c. yogurt, full fat

8 drops vanilla stevia

2 packs Truvia (optional)

½ c. almond milk, unsweetened

2 Tbsp spirulina

1/2- 3/4 c. strawberries, organic

6 ice cubes

Directions 

Blend until you attain smooth and creamy state. Not too worry those fat contained are good for you they are not fattening.

Green Detox Smoothie

Ingredients

1.5 cups kalw, de-stemmed (or spinach etc)

½ English cucumber (chopped)

2stalks celery (chopped)

1 small lemon (peeled)

1 ripe banana (peeled)

1 cup frozen pineapple

2 Tbsp. chia seeds

1 or more Tbsp spirulina powder

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 cup filtered water

Directions

Blend all together in a high speed blender until a smooth and creamy state is attained.
And if a wave of spike does take over you, you can add ginger for a digestive aid.

Spirulina contains one of the highest level of chlorophyll, which aids in detox and boost immune system.
